Dildo Surface & Care
For the benefit of naturalness and originality we intentionally do not seal the surface of our products with chemical substances such as varnish. Instead we resort to natural, well-tried methods. Our dildos are sealed after elaborate fine-tuning with a mixture of natural oils such as linseed, orange and rosemary oil in a multi-stage process. Afterwards the surface is refined by means of several layers of beeswax and vegetable wax. Due to a series of polishing steps in-between the respective manufacturing processes a very smooth, semigloss or shiny surface is achieved, which is both hard-wearing and water-repellent. Since we put special emphasis on quality and safety, we exclusively use high-quality materials that have been tested for their migration performance according to DIN EN 71-3 and have therefore been legally approved for the use of “toys”. The dildos can be washed after usage with lukewarm water. In order that your dildo retains its natural beauty for a long time, we recommend the occasional use of our care products made of beeswax and carnauba wax , which we automatically deliver with every dildo (please shake the bottle before use). The wax should be applied lightly with a damp cloth and should dry for 30 – 45 minutes. Afterwards you can polish the wand with a soft and fuzz-free cloth. Thus your Vencavi massage wand will keep its shine and smoothness permanently.
Wooden Dildo Wood types
Wild service tree (sorbus torminalis)

The wild service tree belongs to the family of the rosaceous plants (Rosaceae) and can be found in Central and Southern European areas. It reaches a height of 15 – 30 metres and has maple-like, polymorphic leaves. The rounded or egg-shaped fruits have a size of around 15 mm and are brown with light-coloured speckles when they are ripe. They are used for the production of fine spirits. The wood of the wild service tree, which is also called satinwood or “Swiss pear tree,” has a finely pored homogeneous structure and a red colouring with a delicate grain. However, trunks with darker colouring and thus a very interesting grain are available too. The wood of the wild service tree is a top-class wood for carvers and turners and can easily be polished. In fact it is one of Europe’s firmest types of wood. It is used amongst other things for the construction of musical instruments and up-market furniture as well as for the production of billiard cues and scientific measuring instruments.
Cherry (prunus avium, cerassmus avium)
The cherry tree belongs to the family of the rosaceous plants (Rosaceae). It grows naturally in Europe, Asia Minor and Northern Central America. Due to its delicious fruits and its fine wood, cherry trees are cultivated all around the world. They reach a height of up to 24 metres. The leaves of the cherry tree are oval with denticulate edges and can be used to pickle vegetables. Moreover, cherrywood is very ornamental and has a pleasant fragrance. It has a dense and finely pored surface suited excellently for a mirror polish. Owing to its reddish and brown colouring and smooth grain, cherrywood is very decorative and used among other things in the fabrication of furniture as well as in the creation of art objects, knife handles and musical instruments.
Common beech (Carpinus betulus)
The common beech , also called white beech or hornbeam, is native in Europe and Western Asia. It does not belong as the name suggests to the beech plant, but to the birch plant. The common beech reaches a height of up to 25 metres. The egg-shaped, double denticulate leaves resemble those of the copper beech. The flowers of the common beech are used for Bach flower remedy. Common beech wood is yellowish-white to lightly grey, whereas there is no difference between the kernel and the sapwood. The wood of the common beech provides the heaviest and strongest home-grown timber. It is finely pored, has a simple grain and can easily be processed, oiled and varnished. If you make a radial cut, the clustered wood rays are visible as a mirror. Common beech is excellent for wood turners and is used in the manufacturing of milled, carved or turned parts for furniture, sports equipment, tools and musical instruments.
Further information around our wooden dildos
In contrast to many synthetic products, scented oils can be used in combination with our dildos if you would like to enjoy your Vencavi dildo with a special flavour. Please note, that those oils must be compatible with internal use. The wood and furnish we use for our products contains none or at most very minor amounts of possible allergenes and can therefore be considered a safe alternative for customers with an allergy against latex, silicones or other synthetic materials. Also the slightly anti-bacterial effect of the wood itself adds to the hygiene and in combination with our surface fine-tuning and polishing gives a safe and enjoyable product with no risk for our customers. |
